The Duke follows the amazing true story of Kempton Bunton, a retired bus driver who allegedly stole the Portrait of the Duke of Wellington painting from the National Gallery.

The film stars Jim Broadbent, Helen Mirren, Fionn Whitehead, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Matthew Goode. The story is set In 1961, a 60-year-old taxi driver steals Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. He sends ransom notes saying that he will return the painting if the government invests more in care for the elderly. It’a a greta film with heart, humour and a real message of connection.
