SHE HAS SPICE FOR DAYS!!
24th October 2018
So we have had Camila, Normani, Ally, Dinah and now it’s Lauren’s turn. Although having said that we have already heard her on collabs with Halsey Ty Dolla and Steve Aoki
But this is Lauren Jauregui as a solo Singer/Songwriter sharing her voice through the music she that represents. I feel like she is so proud of her Latin/Cuban roots and has a real passion for new music so the collabs she chooses will be so dope for her debut album.
I’m so pleased she did something different and not a typical Pop/R&B club tune!
Instead we get a big kick-ass ballad that showcases her voice. It’s called ‘Expectations’ and has been co-written by Lauren, I’m hearing she has ben writing loads and is in total control finally. The video is black and white, simple and stunning.
I have met her a few times and chatted. I found her lovely, funny, confident, sexy and very opinionated.
I think there is a lot more she has to offer as she evolves as a musician and woman. She has openly shared her views on Trump, race and the freedom to love who you want. Lauren is also currently booed up with artist Ty Dolla $ign and seems super chill about sharing their relationship in the public and social media. I have met him and he is sooo cool, shares that same badass ‘don’t give a f*ck about the system’ vibe. They make a good pairing, not sure who has the better eyes though!!
Lauren has teamed up with human rights foundation Amnesty International. She will be performing at the annual event for its Write for Rights campaign. It makes perfect sense she is a part of this as openly speaks out about human rights through all her own platforms.
She chatted to NYLON recently about why she had to be a part of it “There is power in numbers, and I hope people will be inspired through this campaign to come together and use that power to affect change.”
Also she has just covered the incredible Lana Del Rey, I think she nailed it. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!
I also want to point out that ‘Fifth Harmony’ has managed to continue to be successful as solo artists.
Let’s be real the odds and pressure was against them and most would say maybe 1 or 2 could have solo careers. Although they have a lot to still do I think Lauren, Normani, Dinah and Ally are determined, focused and talented enough to join their girl Camila at the top.
