RIZ AHMED BARES ALL IN ‘MOGUL MOWGLI’!

8th October 2020

Zed is played by Riz Ahmed, a British Pakistani rapper, who is about to break big in the music industry and head on the biggest tour of his life. He is convinced to go back home to London during his time to reconnect with his family who he hasn’t seen for years, especially his father. During this unsettling time he is rushed to hospital, and told he has a chronic illness…. and that’s when the shit really hits the fan. A journey of self discovery, facing past traumas while scared of losing the life you have created are just some of the many emotions you see Zed go through, while having vivid hallucinations, trying to come to terms with his nee life.

Director Bassam Tariq with Riz who has also written the script alongside starring in it tackle so many hard-hitting topics of race, perception, shame and heritage. ‘Mogul Mowgli is showing as part of the BFI LFF this year.
