Yeezy Season 4, TommyxGigi and now Alexander Wang continue showcasing the tomboy sexy look for girls this season and spring 2017! 
Wang’s latest ready to wear collection has been inspired by surf chicks and chilled vibes! With models wearing tie around halter neck silk tops that were huge in the early 2000’s thanks to people like TLC and even the Spice Girls in the 90’s! Plus palm tree printed tees and silk 2 pieces almost like nightwear! On their feet the models wore flip flop style flats with quite simple beach make up and texturized hair! Oversized sweatshirts and crop jumpers with lifeguard lanyard neon necklaces added that edgy Wang look!

Front row was all about Madonna and her stunning daughter Lourdes! Who rocked corn rows a high neck jumper, mini and fish nets I love how Lourdes doesn’t crave attention and has her own sense of style. Other guests included Zoe Kravitz, Kylie Jenner, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, Aluna, Tinashe, Jourdan Dunn and Tyga. 
The music is so important to set the mood! I remember thinking the TommyxGigi show had way to many switches in tunes and tempos while the Wang show was all about great hip-Hop beats and one act mostly Princess Nokio! Her distinctive rap sound blasted out the speakers working perfectly with Alex’s vision. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AH-LyInSNYw I can’t help but think with this new push on straight to buy after the shows more and more collections are less weird and wonderful and more wearable and comfortable. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but I do hope money doesn’t become the motivation over creativity. Music is in that place at the moment and it kinda breaks my heart at times. Thanks god for people like Frank Ocean, Lady Gaga and Skepta who manage to do what they want and are not driven by radio, media and sales.
