So a lot of us are currently booking holidays and hitting the gym hard to try and look as close to a Victoria Secrets model in a bikini as poss!! Oh the pressure!!
I’m currently in Barbados visiting family so I know exactly how that feels. I have taken a case full of clothes, sandals and some ridiculous heels that I really won’t wear, god knows what I was thinking. I did grab some beautiful pieces though, take a look and get some tips.
I think if you are going away or staying home for a British Summer it’s all about comfort and pretty fabrics with some layering. Lots of white, pale pink in your wardrobe is so necessary, plus great prints.
The high-street ia packed with amazing clothes this season, with Zara at the top for me as my fav place to mix and match. This Spring/Summer collection is both beautiful and edgy. Floaty floor lenght dresses with slashes in all the right places are a must for your wardrobe.
It it’s denim you love, grab a great silk vest, cami or blouse to wear on top of your cut of denims or that short amazing skirt you just had to have.
What’s great is TopShop, Urban Outfitters, Miss Selfridge, Zara and the British High-street has totally delievered with different shapes and sizes so will hopefully compliment all of us. Prices wise I think the most expensice item I grabbed was a dress for £150 from Urban Outfitters but everything else is between £30- £100 so make sure you look around and don’t over spend.
You should always take a break to grab a sandwich and a drink when shopping, so you can recharge and have time to decide what you really want to buy from the stuff you have already tried on. Also I love sending pics to my bestie to get her opinion on what suits me just in case I’m on a budget and can’t buy all 5 of those dresses I tried on and feel I need in my life! lol!
Bikinis, swimsuits, kimono’s and cover up’s are a must this season, I keep saying this I know but I promise they will end up being pieces that you can rock again next year. Check out some great pieces below for every day to give you inspiration.
