Three years ago Morgan Cooper uploaded a fan trailer to YouTube, showing how he envisioned the Fresh Prince as a drama. Now, here is the first full look at his retelling of the story, it’s out Feb 13.
At its heart, Bel-Air is a coming-of-age story that celebrates the strength and love of a Black family.
The television sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which began in 1990, was loosely based on Will Smith’s real-life persona. It was a huge show and culturally very impactful. This new series is set to give the story a modern-day twist, with newcomer Jabari Banks starring in the lead role.
