The Children Act is super intense and out this weekend. The story follows a 17-year old boy who has leukemia and is refusing to take a blood transfusion due to his and his parents religious beliefs. Cue the incredible Emma Thompson the High Court Judge who sets out to make him change his mind. Fionn Whitehead ( Dunkirk) plays the sick boy and is awesome in this film.
While Emma as always steals the show. She is trying to save his life while letting her own crumble. With a great supporting cast including Stanley Tucci and Anthony Calf take some tissues for this one and support independent film.
