beauty is more than a great lippy or highlighter…..

I’m totally into skincare and natural ways to look after my mind and body over the last few months. Make-up and blowdries are awesome but only a temporary fix.

I have found when I eat better, drink lots of water, exercise ( yes I know cliche but it’s true) I look and feel a whole lot better.

Also mentally looking after myself and being in a happy good place is crucial to everything.I’m the same as everyone else and want to feel great inside out.

Some of my fav ladies from Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Poppy Delevigne, Lauren Jauregui, Christina Milian, Jessica Alba, Chloe Moretz, Jourdan Dunn, Priyanka Chopra, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Karlie Kloss, Leomie Anderson and Zoë Isabella Kravitz all swear by great skincare regimes.

I find my make-up slides on so much better when my skin is looked after and same with styling my hair. I actually think I need to use fewer products when I look after everything rather than having to mask my insecurities.

T&W1

Beauty is about so much including being comfy in my own skin and being ok with my individuality.

I have darker skin and can suffer from dark circles when I don’t sleep enough or rest. I have noticed during that time in the month I can break out with the odd zit and skin pigmentation. All these things can make me feel crappy and self-conscious.

But the good thing about having awesome friends especially those that work in the beauty world is you learn from them and discover new products that can totally help you rejuvenate your skin in a natural way. I know friends in their 20’s who are getting botox and fillers alongside laser style facials…. all to feel beautiful?

I’m not judging anyone and we all have the freedom to do what we like.

I will say this though before you consider needles and visiting someone in a white coat research what you can do naturally. Remember nothing works overnight and give everything at least 1 month for some real changes in your skin, hair and nails.

That leads me onto a new product I have been trying by a company called ‘Gold Collagen’ for the last month.

They do a whole range of clinically tested beauty supplements which cater to different skin types. They focus on hydration, elasticity, fine lines and early signs of wrinkles. Why I rate this company is they totally believe in good nutrition, exercise and looking after your mind alongside taking their supplements. Any company that says ‘Buy this and it will make your skin and hair flawless, nothing else needed‘ is talking absolute rubbish.

The product I’m using at the moment is specifically for my hair, nails and skin. It’s called ‘ Pure Gold Collagen’.

It’s a liquid and comes in a small bottle that you drink. I have found it easy to take one daily after breakie also all the ingredients are natural so that makes me happy.. Although 4 weeks feels too early to share my verdict, I can say that my hair, in particular, feels healthier. My plan is to take it for the next few months and share how I get on. If you fancy joining me, grab a box and learn more about Gold Collagen.  For more on the supplement I”m taking and the science behind it click here.

Remember these products are great but won’t work unless you also improve your nutrition, stress levels and exercise. We have to work on ourselves as one whole package to get the best long term results. Learn to put ourselves first and get to our happy place.

Gold Collagen are currently also doing this really cool challenge #MySkinDares which made me appreciate what beauty means to me and how I feel about it. Have a go and share your story here.
