SUCH A BEAUTIFUL FILM ‘THE FAREWELL’

So you find out your beloved Grandma has terminal cancer but your family tell you that she must not be told. You travel with them from America to China on a unplanned wedding party reunion. It sounds strange and so very ridiculous, but this is what Billi played by the brillant Awkwafina has to do. She is torn between her own opinion and that of her traditional family in ‘The Farewell’.
Writer/director Lulu Wang delves into this story of right or wrong and how your upbringing determines how you deal with the tougest things even death. The Farewell, is a great film using humour to ask the important questions. The cast are amazing and have such good energy, while Awkwafina really shows her acting skills I loved her in this.
