SIMZ IS A LITTLE STAR…….

Last night I headed to see British musician Little Simz live in London at the iconic Roundhouse. This was my first time experiencing a full show from her and I have to say she left me feeling inspired and super impressed. Here is a lady that has created an experience on her tour that includes an art gallery, artist live drawing and then a full on band experience.
I went in loving a female rapper I came out a fan of a musician and real artist. Her show is planned so well, her set-list cleverly executed in the right order. She truly comes alive on stage dancing her little ass off like a kid in a sweet shop with all her best friends right be her side. Musically she is a gifted writer, rapper and can sing to. It’s was a surpise to see her play keys alongside guitar but it totally seemed authetic and most importantly she was great.
Watching her live show I see an artist influenced by Lauryn Hill and groups like The Roots. I saw Chance the Rapper in the same venue a few months ago and found myself feeling that same happy uplifting almost like being in church type of vibe ( by the way I never go church, but imagine it feels like this minus the scent of weed and alcohol)
Simz shares the stage with a lot of other talent including other rappers and singers, this is a super dope quality to have and shows she is confident in her talent and also flipping kind enough to share the light.
Special guest where do I start…. Well firstly I would of left happy even if it had just been her. She introduced her label mates and then also had Kano, Stormzy, Ghetts and Chip all join her and kill the show!
I loved seeing the boys showing her love and support!! It’s a beautiful thing when you see people coming together and clapping for each other. Welcome to Wonderland was an experience and I have a feeling Little Simz is going to grow up and become an even bigger star influencing the culture and people. This girl has got a lot to offer, she is still playing with us figuring out who she is and what she wants to become. Once she has worked it out trust me when I say she is going to be a game changer!!
