CAN I TAKE A SELFIE PLEASE?

So thanks to Justin Bieber declaring he doesn’t want to take any pics anymore with fans it’s started a discussion between me and my mates on “Is it really too much”?
In my personal opinion taking a pic or a selfie with anyone that supports what I do is a pleasure and not much to ask. The other day I was waiting for my car after interviewing Shawn Mendes and a stack of fans asked for selfies, obviously not on the same level as Justin but I could never of said no. I would of felt rude and ungrateful for their love.

I do understand however when you are as famous as JB it’s on a next level! When you watch vids of him doing meet and greets it’s clear to see most times he doesn’t seem happy and is going through the motions. I guess it’s an every minute thing when you are out in public and at some point when you are having dinner or out with your family you want to enjoy that moment. But I do think there is a way of not offending people and still keeping your sanity.

Writing a post on Instagram and declaring it kinda makes it look a lot worse then you actually just taking a few pics and then getting your management to move you on? It highlights you have an issue and to some people you look ungrateful.
Think about when Britney had enough of fame, she shaved her hair and had her crazy moment, but then disappeared away from the lime-light and took time out to be happy and raise a family.
If it get’s too much rather then keep going is it not better to just take a break? Look after yourself and find the happiness you feel you have lost?
I love Beyonce I’m a super fan and have met her once, and yes I did get a pic (sadly came out off focus ironically.. Ahhhhh!!) I asked and I was with Rita Ora at the time, who as a friend introduced us and also got a pic.
At the time Beyonce was watching her husband Jay Z on stage, now looking back maybe my timing was off, but she was lovely and sweet. It took her a few minutes and then she continued to watch the show and in turn made my flipping night.
I think the people that support you and buy in to what you do whatever that be, your radio show, your blog, your channel, your album or movie should feel comfortable to approach you if they see you and say hi ond grab a pic.

Looking at the vids below, Selena was able to make time and it was organised and not too crazy, while poor Harry had no way of interacting and just needed to be safe. Rihanna arrives after a long flight and like all of us wants to get her case and out of the airport still makes time to say ‘ What’s up’ to her fans’
I guess you have to remember without these people you really are not able to enjoy the life you now live and get to do the thing you love.
