A MOVIE THAT BLURS THE LINE BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY!

1st April 2021

Are you the kind of person that loves to freak the hell out? Wanna hide under your sofa cushion while you get creeped out to see what horrific thing is about to happen next to the hero in the film you are watching? Well ‘Censor’ is for you so sit down and take a read!

This latest British indie horror is out in the UK and Ireland on 2 July 2021. The frightening movie has been written and directed by Prano Bailey-Bond in his feature debut, and stars Bafta nominee Niamh Algar (Calm with Horses, Raised by Wolves)

This psychological horror garnered mixed views after it’s World Premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It’s set in 1980’s UK, and the lead character Enid comes across this strangely familiar horror movie that reminds her of her sister’s mysterious disappearance. So after watching it, yes you have guessed it she sets out to find the truth and figure out what actually happens. She hunts down the director of the film, ‘Video Nasties’ was a term back in the 80’s for a low budget VHS horror film that was extremely violent. Visually ‘CENSOR’ looks incredible but with mixed views from critics mostly around the lack of connection in the script, it may not hit enough of a punch. I will say one to watch with a mate at home rather than in the cinema!
