There is something quite beautiful when a fashion house and artist come together to create a mood for it’s latest collection.

Recently Louis Vuitton and Prada have done the same thing. Gucci have enlisted Spanish artist Ignasi Monreal to merge his surrealist artworks with their fabulous designs.

The result colour explotion with 70’s inspired graphic prints. While Ignasi tells the story of Icarus, who flies too close to the sun even after his father warned him not to.

I love collabs like this and it also just reminds me how important Art is in Fashion, to be honest they sit hand in hand.

Gucci has always been one of my favs, the luxury brand represents that lavish lifestyle but always with a real understanding of the times we are living in. You can be that career women with an awesome Gucci suit, or that young fashionista who runs around town with their signature clutch and also be that street cool kid rocking the motif tees and making your own statement.

It’s quite something to cater to so many without compromising or polluting your brand. Gucci is hot as fuck and we all need to invest a little something in our wardrobe.

Enjoy and let me know if you plan to grab any of the pieces.

Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci is so cool with the way he puts colections together and the assesstics around them are so very important, clever and stunning. The people he collabs with always adding value without it looking forced or fake.

Yes there is a part of the brand that is so luxury that we can only admire from a distance but the way Gucci has created accessories like great belts, bags, sunglasses, scarfes and hats, we all can feel a part of it. I feel like they were always ahead of the times in that way. It’s only in the last 10 years that most other huge luxury designers have started to really care about the high-street and the audience that have hundreds rather then thousands to spend. I think Gucci alongside Prada were always thinking like that. I can remember being 15 and having a Gucci Scarf and then a year later a bag I saved up for.

It’s nice to think we all matter and should be able to enjoy fashion, whether that’s luxury or highstreet.
