Camouflage has always been a part of fashion and street-wear! I feel like most of us went through a phase where we had cargo pants and rocked a sports bra vibe, feeling like a member of Destinys Child or TLC!
What’s great about camo is the fact you can literally get it in every type of garment and shade. Plus by shopping around in army shops and vintage stores you can totally pick up a bargain.
I have quite a few pieces already so it’s not even like I have to go out and start finding new pieces to add to my already quite packed wardrobe. Mostly with clothes I don’t wear or even like anymore by the way. I feel like I need to do a feature on just that point! Why do we only wear 3 outfits …but have so much more clothes that sit there doing sod all??
Fashion for me has become so much more about my personality and mood then to impress others and feel validated. I think the camouflage look is so relaxed and so easy to create dope looks to wear. You can wear a sexy dress and team it with a great oversized jacket like Rihanna and SZA or wear the staple piece the cargo style pant, wide legged with tons of pockets look which Bella and Kylie have nailed.
I checked out the British high-street and can confirm it’s packed of great camouflage pieces from designer to real affordable. This skirt for example that I’m wearing is only £15 from Joy, but looks so cool and works with this tie up shirt and Geiger boots!!
