SECURE YOU OWN BAG THE STEFF WAY!
21st August 2018
Stefflon Don has just unleashed her new mixtape ‘Secure The Bag’.
With a stellar list of features including DJ Khaled, Tiggs Da Author, Future and newcomer Ebenezer. Is it any good I hear you screaming?? The simple answer is hell yeah she has totally delivered, she sounds confident, on a mission and fearless on this project.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate what this young woman has done in the last 12 months.
She signed her own label deal to Universal Records and than signed herself. Successful songs on all platforms, collabs with some of the coolest and successful people. Plus a real role model for women especially black woman and ladies with curves. She struts her funky stuff and makes no apology about it. She uses her voice when she feels attacked or mistreated. Wrong or right, it’s real and shows how honest she is and also that she will not be made into a victim.
The music on this project shows how aware she is of her core audience and also being respected by her peers and the die-hard Rap fans for her skills as an M.C.
She seems to have a real sense of who she is and has found her own cool way to share it with the world. What you see is really what you get which is super refreshing.
With brands lining up to work with her and billboards all over the Country of her recent collabs with Boohoo this girl is fully here to stay. Her first signing was an artist that she has worked with for years Producer ‘Rymez. The loyalty she has to her people could be one of her best qualities. Steff has also managed to find love with fellow musician Fekky ( who is so lovely and also on the mixtape) they seem to balance each other very well. She is also a mum and from what I can see a big supporter to her family financially and emotionally.
All that being said she is cheeky as hell but in the nicest way possible.
Steff is that girl you want on your side trust me not the one you want to make an enemy off.
We need ladies like Steff in the music scene, running companies and inspiring other young females what is possible.
