FRIENDS THAT ARE CHANGING THE GAME

26th November 2017

I often hear surround yourself with people that have great energy and will inspire you to do better. I guess Fuse is the perfect example of that. I met him a few years ago and we clicked tbh it’s hard not to love him. Here is a guy that has made some of the biggest crossover Afrobeats songs while dealing with change, pressures, haters and I’m sure a load of personal battles, but never moans or carries bitterness.

What I always knew about Fuse was he is more then just about himself and music. He has been on this mission to make the mainstream and society stop feeling sorry for Africa and instead find it intriguing, beautiful and a place they want to visit. I guess as a British born African as he re-discovered his roots he felt a desire to share.

Fuse  is super talented and could have very easily just focused on his career in music and more pop success, but he chose a different direction. Some would say a harder one that takes longer but I truly believe in the end not only will this route reward him with success but a load of happiness and surround him with great people.

We sat down and after picking on each other like brother and sister (banter between us) we chatted about almost everything. What’s his plans for his new album? How important has it been flying the flag for Africa? What was it like taking Ed Sheeran to Ghana and showing him the real Africa while recording their dope new single? Where does he see his place in music? Will he become more political ? Why he celebrates women so much and created his new Nana black dolls? What makes him happy?

Sit back, grab a tea and enjoy this weeks podcast. It will leave you super inspired and also loving this dude!! Plus EXCLUSIVE news on his debut TINA Festival happening in the NY and who will be on that exciting line up!!
